Bridge between fashion design and commerce
During his professorship at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute Dany Jacobs led a research into the possibilities of strengthening the interaction between commerce and design in the fashion industry. This research, commissioned by the Premsela Foundation, was in continuation of a research initiated by Monique Roso in 2005 - also for Premsela. The research of Dany Jacobs, Henny Jordaan en Pieta Stam contains no less than 22 concrete proposals to improve practical interaction. It concerns financing, production, promotion, distribution as well as knowledge and education.
